As with any change, there is an opportunity for growth and reflection. Through these last several weeks, the AHMP Volunteer Leadership Teams have become more familiar with the inner workings of our administrative operations and finances. We have grown stronger with a better understanding of the time and resources required for the successful day-to-day operations of AHMP. We have also gained a greater appreciation for the amount of work that goes into keeping AHMP afloat. We have reestablished our roots and reenlisted the support of an amazing administrative team. Rest assured, AHMP is set up for continued success!
Speaking of success…we are all looking forward to an outstanding EHS HAZMAT Summit (formerly the AHMP Annual Conference) in Kansas City this summer. We had an excellent response to the Call for Abstracts and are working out the final planning & scheduling details. This effort has been led by an amazing group of volunteers through the Professional Development & Conference Planning Committees. Other highlights for the EHS HAZMAT Summit include: Awards Ceremony & Recognition, Vendor & Sponsor Exhibition, Presentation of Bylaw Updates, Call for Nominations to Board of Directors, Networking Events, and LOTS of Technical Content. I look forward to seeing you there!

Awards Program
While the nomination period for 2023 Awards and Recognition is closed, it is never too soon to start planning for 2024! The AHMP Awards Program recognizes and honors individuals, chapters, and organizations for outstanding contribution in education, training, research, organizational development, operations, and performance that further AHMP's Strategic Plan. There are four (4) Professional Member awards, three (3) Chapter awards, and two (2) AHMP "Friend" awards. Check out what all the “buzz” is about and set your Chapter (or self) up for recognition.

Chapter Officers: If you haven't already, please submit your Annual Report as soon as possible. We are still missing reports from a few Chapters.
Chapter Annual Reports should be submitted online. To submit your report, simply visit the Chapter Resources page on the new website, or click here to go directly to the form.
You will need to login to the form using your new website login credentials. Once logged in to the form, you can enter all of your Chapter information and upload any corresponding reports. NOTE: the form will now save your progress so if you have to exit and find missing information, your work will still be there when you come back. Peer Consult Series
The Peer Consult series is a FREE monthly discussion forum where members have the unique opportunity to bring their most pressing challenges and complex problems to the table. The Peer Consult series fosters an environment of collaborative problem-solving and knowledge sharing, while encouraging participants to become both seekers and advisors. Our next session will be led by AHMP Treasurer, Paul Hausman, MSPH, CHMM. Watch for more details coming soon.
