Distinguished Lecturer ProgramThe AHMP Professional Development Committee (PDC) is proud to host this program that features prominent experts in all aspects of hazardous materials. Awarded individuals are prepared to lecture on recent research and new developments and topics of interest that affect workplace safety and the environment. The program features reputable leaders in academia, industry, and government who address the most pertinent and impactful topics in industrial hygiene. The Distinguished Lecturers (DL) are drawn from the AHMP membership. Their qualifications are assessed, and their lectures are reviewed by the PDC Evaluators for quality and timeliness. The annual DL recipient list comprises experts within AHMP who are capable and willing to provide subject matter lectures to the hazardous materials community and to AHMP’s affiliate partners. The DL program was enacted for regional AHMP Chapters to access expert presentations that are typically offered on a national stage. DLs agree to provide presentations pro-bono to AHMP Chapters and there is no limit. A DL may ask to be reimbursed by the Chapter for reasonable travel expenses or may choose not to be compensated at all. AHMP members who wish to participate in the Distinguished Lecturer Program must first self-nominate by submitting the required following documentation:
