| Why Volunteer With AHMP?It’s easy to get involved with AHMP both locally and nationally. Here are a just few ways you can maximize the benefit of your AHMP membership:
At the National LevelAHMP committees are 100 percent volunteer-driven. AHMP members volunteer a few hours every month to work with their peers on important issues. Committee meetings are held via conference call to eliminate travel requirements and lengthy time commitments. By serving on a national committee, you will: 
Earn certificate maintenance points (CMPs).Acquire new skills.Make valuable contacts.Help other EHS&S professionals. To get involved, contact the chair of the committee in which you are interested. In Your CommunityThe CHMMUnity Program is a community service initiative that encourages HMM professionals to promote environmental, health, safety, and security awareness and proactive management of hazardous materials in their communities. CHMMunity establishes a model for AHMP chapters and individual members to work on hazardous materials-related projects in their hometowns.
